Up or On -the-Rocks? The traditionalists
insist that a martini be served "up" in a long stemmed glass. This
keeps the drink from being diluted by melting ice. If you prefer "on-the-rocks",
use whole cubes rather than cracked - again to minimize dilution. And be sure
the ice is fresh and pure. The martini will be tainted by any odors or impurities
that linger in the ice.
